This is the home page of John Patrick Lestrade.

I am a professor in the department of Physics and Astronomy at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi.

My research interest is primarily cosmic gamma-ray bursts, though I have published also in solar energy and planetary atmospheres.

I was recently appointed to the board of directors of the New Orleans Secular Humanists Association (NOSHA) and I am the University advisor to the MSU Atheist club (AAFSA).
