Read the following material before coming to class. The dates below (especially the Exam dates) are tentative. I reserve the right to make changes if the need arises, but I will always give you at least 1 week’s warning. For the exams you are responsible for (1) the specific sections listed below and (2) any extra information that I give you in lecture. (It would behoove you to refer to (2) as "pearls of wisdom" :-)

Jan 12: Units 01-06: Introduction and group hug, night sky, constellations,  (omit 4.4)
Jan 14: Units 07-09: Eclipses, lunar phases, hugging replaced by waterboarding..
Jan 19: Exam 01
Jan 21: Units 10-13: Old dead guys.

Jan 26: Units 21-23: Light and atoms. (Skip 23.5)
Jan 28: Units 24-26: More light..
Feb 02: Exam 02
Feb 04: Units 32-34: The Solar System.
Feb 09: Units 35-40 (Omit 35.3-4, 39.2): Terrestrials.
Feb 11: Units 42-44: Jovian Planets.

Feb 16: Exam 03.
Feb 18: Units 41, 46. The end of days, 2012.
Feb 23: Units 47, 48. Earth smashers!
Feb 25: Units 49, 50. The Sun
Mar 02: Units 51, 52, and 54. Stars
Mar 04: Exam 04.
Mar 09: Units 55.1-3, 58.1, 59
Mar 11: Units 60, 61.1-2, 62:1-2
Mar 23: Units 64.4, 65, 66.
Mar 25: Units 67.1, 68.
Mar 30: Exam 05
Apr 01: Units 70, 71, 74
Apr 06: Units 78-80
Apr 08: Unit 81
Apr 13: Unit 82.
Apr 15: Exam 06.
Apr 20: Unit 83.
Apr 22: Unit 84. E.T.
Apr 28: 3-6 pm Final Exam.
